Teaching at the Destitute Boys Home

The girls visit the destitute boys home Monday - Saturday. Here they teach them English and play games with them.
Emma: "The boys home is truly amazing. It is such a nice place for them, despite only getting 1250 rupees per child per month (£14) they still have clean water, meals, school resources, accommodation and clothing. They have the same energy levels, happiness and enthusiasm as any child in the UK, irrespective of their background"

A few of the boys! They are not shy in front of the camera!
Above and below are the girls playing a game of musical statues with the boys!
Kerry with Sanjay and AJ!
Kerry: "Teaching in the destitute boys home is a magical experience and a once in a life time experience. The boys don't have many materialistic things, yet they have more than all of us. They have each other and an endless supply of smiles! The boys are individuals in their own way, and there are some right characters! But all carry a sense of joy and innocence!"
A game of dodgeball which the boys were very good at and which has Alex and Kerry staying out of the way!
Lucy: "In the evenings we teach at the destitute home for boys. We also play games with them like limbo and dodgeball. All the boys are so clever and energetic - we all return home throughly cheered up! The building itself is clean and big - we often arrive to see the boys playing cricket in the garden!"
It is a lively and happy experience getting to spend time with the boys. There is never a time when the boys are not smiling, which makes the girls smile too!
