Welcome to Incredible India!

So after nearly a year of planning and fundraising this week our 2nd Duke of Edinburgh, Gold Residential started! =) This year we have eight participants completing the final part of their Gold DofE - The Residential along with two volunteers taking part in our general teaching placement.

In total 10 volunteers are about to have the time of their life!

All of the group waiting for their first orientation (this is where we discuss more about India and India culture and the culture typical to Udaipur.

Ground staff Project Manager Pankaj leading the orientation.

Some of the group took a walk to the local shop, smallest shop packed with everything and anything you could wish for.

In the afternoon, the group had their first cooking lesson with the lovely Meena Ji where they learnt to make traditional Indian tea, Chai. I think all of the volunteers have agreed that chai time is the best time!

In the afternoon the group visited the boy's home to learn more about where they will be teaching and a little bit about why the boys are there and their typical day. The boys LOVE to dance and showed us some of their bollywood moves with some of the volunteers joining in, Rayhan was the first to show everyone his moves.

Thank you for reading our blog and please share to friends and family.
Stay tuned for more updates from the group!
